Our commitment to share clinical trial data

Clinical trials are research studies intended to answer scientific questions and find better ways to treat or prevent diseases. They are fundamental to the development of innovative medicines, vaccines or devices that treat and prevent illness. Novartis registers interventional clinical trials on the public website, www.clinicaltrials.gov.

Since 2005

Novartis publically shares clinical trial summary results for medicines and vaccines under development and approved by regulatory agencies on the Novartis clinical trial results public website, www.novctrd.com.

Novartis is committed to sharing with qualified external researchers, anonymized patient-level data and clinical study reports from our clinical trials for medicines or vaccines in indications approved by regulators in the United States (U.S.) and European Union (EU). This is beginning with regulatory approvals obtained from January 2014 and after the relevant studies have been accepted for journal publication.
