Novartis will be conducting a 6-month randomized research study to determine the safety and effectiveness of a new investigational drug as an add on therapy in the treatment of severe pulmonary hypertension.

You may be eligible to participate in this Novartis pulmonary arterial hypertension clinical trial, if you:

• Are at least 18 years of age or older
• Have been diagnosed by a physician as having moderate to severe pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH)
• Continue to have shortness of breath, fatigue, or decreased exercise tolerance even with current therapies
• Have no known senstivities to the drug imatinib (Gleevec®)
• Are not currently breastfeeding, pregnant or have plans to become pregnant
