The purpose of this clinical trial is to find out if the drug omalizumab (Xolair®) has beneficial effects on the airways in people who have moderate to severe allergic asthma. Xolair® has been approved in the European Union and by the U.S Food and Drug Administration for the treatment of persistent allergic asthma.

Participation Duration:
Participation in the study will last approximately one and a half years. During that time, participants will be asked to visit the study center to receive subcutaneous (under the skin) injections of study medication and assessments.
