This debilitating condition is caused by narrowing and inflammation of the airways in the lungs; symptoms include recurrent attacks of wheezing, coughing, shortness of breath, and labored breathing. The frequency of asthma has been increasing for all age groups.

1. Select a clinical trial that you feel best suits your (or the participant's)
health condition.
2. Answer the screening questions to see if you (or the participant) meet
the preliminary qualifications for
the study. The answers to these questions
are not retained by this system.
3. Select a study center to contact for additional information about the

Asthma Study CIGE025A2432
The purpose of this clinical trial is to find out if the drug omalizumab (Xolair®) has beneficial effects on the airways in people who have moderate to severe allergic asthma. Xolair® has been approved in the European Union and by the U.S Food and Drug Administration for the treatment of persistent allergic asthma.
Trial phase: Phase 4
Participation Duration: Participation in the study will last approximately one and a half years. During that time, participants will be asked to visit the study center to receive subcutaneous (under the skin) injections of study medication and assessments.
Protocol Number: CIGE025A2432
Asthma Study CIGE025BUS26
The purpose of this clinical study is to determine how moderate to severe allergic asthma affects the parents and children between the ages of 6 and 11 years old. The study will assess the child’s quality of life, growth, missed days of school, number of medicines required, and number of visits to the doctor’s office required to treat their asthma. The study will also assess how asthma affects their parent’s quality of life and days of work missed due to the child’s asthma. Participating children must be diagnosed with moderate to severe allergic asthma which is not well controlled. This study does not require participating children to take any new medicines or treatments for asthma.
Trial phase: Phase 4
Participation Duration: Participating children and their parent or caregiver will be required to visit the study doctor’s office every 6 months and answer questions at home over the phone monthly, or on paper every 3 months over a 12-24 month period.
