Cold Sores
Cold sores are caused by the herpes simplex virus--one of the same family of viruses that causes chicken pox and mononucleosis. Herpes simplex virus type 1 (HSV-1) usually causes cold sores or oral herpes on the face and mouth.

Adolescent Cold Sores Study CFAM810B2305
The purpose of this study is to collect safety information and to measure the effectiveness of a study drug for reducing recurring cold sores in adolescent patients.
This study drug is a medicine which is approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in the treatment of ONLY adults with cold sores.
Trial phase: Phase 3
Participation Duration: Participants will be required to visit the study center at least 2 times over the duration of approximately 5 weeks.
