Hepatitis B

Hepatitis B Study CLDT600AUS06

The purpose of this clinical research study is to determine additional safety and dosing information for the study drug telbivudine for chronic hepatitis B participants who are of Black/Caribbean/African American or Hispanic/Latino ethnicity and between the ages of 16 and 70 years old. Telbivudine has been approved for sale in the United States by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
Trial phase: Phase 4
Participation Duration: The participant will be required to take 1 tablet once daily for 52 weeks and visit the doctor’s office 12 times, with an additional 4 follow-up visits at the end of the study.
